Why HTC Evo 4G will be an iPhone Killer and Why You Should Get One!
Why will HTC Evo 4G be an iPhone Killer?
This is the big question, is HTC Evo 4G an iPhone killer?
The short answer is “yes”, even if iPhone 4G is announced.
Some of the things HTC Evo 4G does that iPhone 4G will never do:
- 4G WiMax – Speeds on HTC Evo 4G are about 10 times faster on average. This is like having a dial-up modem versus a cable modem. This one speed advantage alone makes it useful business people who travel a lot and regular Joes who doesn’t want to waste time browsing the web or watching crisp, clear YouTube videos.
- 720P HD Video Streaming – The 4G WiMax on the HTC Evo 4G allows for 720P HD video streaming for sites like YouTube. You simply can’t do this on an iPhone because it’s not supported or you would have to wait a looooong time on a 3G network. However, you might be able to do it if you own both HTC Evo 4G (or a 4G broadband car) and tether your iPhone to it. (but where the point in that? HTC Evo 4G is clearly a better all-around smartphone.)
- Android 2.1 and 2.2 with Flash – A lot of people have been criticizing at Android 1.5 and 1.6 for its lack of UI and innovation. But Google has worked hard to upgrade Android to 2.1 and 2.2, which does Flash 10.1 and is super fast. Android has overtook iPhone sales in the first quarter of 2010, that’s PROOF that Android, which runs HTC Evo 4G, is already becoming wildy popular and development will only skyrocket for the next couple years.
Although HTC Evo 4G will come with Android 2.1 without flash player, it won’t be long before it’s upgraded to 2.2, that means no more broken “older” websites. - Android Apps growing like crazy. – Android apps are actually growing exponentially in comparison to iPhone, which has reached a plateau. In matter of 6 months to a year, there is a good chance more Android Apps exist than iPhone apps. Remember when IBM compatibles took over Macs because of number of software that’s available back in the 90s? Same thing happening, Apple can’t compete against open-source software and Android’s massive appeal to the masses today.
- Kickstand. – Simple but kickstand save you a bunch of money on buying additional accessories. Whether you are in the kitchen or you want to just browse on your desk, HTC Evo 4G’s kickstand is very, very useful anywhere.
Why should I get an HTC Evo 4G/Who should get an HTC Evo 4G?
- Business Users – If you have been waiting to get a new smartphone that does pretty much everything including letting you use your phone as a wireless 4G modem, HTC Evo 4G is just the right way to go, fast. There’s not a single smartphone that’s faster than HTC Evo 4G right now in the U.S.
- iPhone Users – If you have been tired of dropped calls on AT&T and their laggy 3G network, you need to make a switch to a better network like Sprint where calls aren’t dropped and the fastest network speeds are offers.
- iPad Users – Again, why stick with AT&T’s slow 3G network when you can get HTC Evo 4G and tether it wirelessly with an iPad anywhere to improve your iPad’s internet browsing experience?
- Legacy Phone Users – It’s time to upgrade to a smartphone, a phone that can browse the web fast. Don’t spend more on an iPhone when you can get a lot more (and no dropped calls) with the HTC Evo 4G. With $199 for 2-year contract and $79/month, that beats AT&T’s iPhone hands-down already with 4G!!!
