Storage Bug Hits HTC EVO 4G Prior to Launch

by brian on Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

As the HTC EVO 4G nears its launch, a problem has now come out concerning the included 8GB MicroSD card. Apparently some users were surprised to find error messages when they took pictures. A message stating that the device could not save files to the said SD card due to insufficient file permissions popped out.

To make thing worse, some users couldn’t even access the SD card at all. The users mentioned here are not people who have actually bought the HTC EVO 4G but mostly people who were on hand at its developer conference some weeks back. About 5,000 units were handed out.

The problem is said to be a software glitch which is currently being addressed. Sadly there is no word on when the update would be released. The HTC EVO 4G is scheduled to go on sale this weekend.
